House Lights Support
House Lights shows your permanent lights on a photo of your own house and lets you control them. You can choose holiday and everyday looks, set schedules, play music-reactive light shows and more. It works with lighting controllers that run WLED, the free software used by many permanent and holiday lighting systems.

What you need
- A lighting controller running WLED. Version 0.15 or newer is recommended.
- A phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the controller.
- The controller’s address. You can find it in the WLED app, in your router’s list of devices, or from your installer.
Getting started
- Connect. Open the app, enter your controller’s address (for example
192.168.1.50) and tap Test and add. - Add your house photo. Take or choose a photo of the front of your house, ideally at dusk.
- Trace your lights. Follow the setup steps to mark where each run of lights goes. A single light moves along the house so you can line them up.
- Pick a look. Browse looks by holiday or style. The preview on your photo shows exactly what the house will do.
- Set a schedule. Have the lights turn on at sunset and change automatically for each holiday.
Common questions
The app can’t find my controller
- Make sure your phone is on your home Wi-Fi, not mobile data or a guest network. Guest networks often block devices from seeing each other.
- Check that the controller has power and that its address hasn’t changed. Setting a reserved (static) address for it in your router prevents this.
- On Android 17 and newer, allow the app to access devices on your local network when asked.
The preview doesn’t line up with my house
Open Setup and adjust the traced light lines. Use the moving single light to check where each run starts and ends.
My schedule didn’t turn on at sunset
Sunset timing needs your location and time zone. Check both in Schedule, under clock settings.
Music mode isn’t reacting
Allow microphone access when asked, then raise the sensitivity slider. Keep the phone near the music. Audio is only analyzed on your phone and is never recorded.
Some lights are stuck on one color or won’t change
Run the wiring test in Controller. If one section doesn’t respond, it is usually a connection or power problem in the lights themselves, so contact your installer.
How do I back up my looks and photos?
In Controller, use Backup and restore to save one file with your looks, schedules, settings and photos. You can use it to restore everything or to set up a replacement controller.
Can I control my lights when I’m away from home?
Not yet. The app connects directly to your controller on your home Wi-Fi. You can still set schedules and an away mode, and they run on the controller without your phone.
